This 38 year-old mother of two wanted to improve her breasts and her abdomen.Her history was significant for having multiple surgeries on her abdomen and her hips as a result of a car accident. This scars led to contours she wasn’t happy with. She also wanted to restore the volume of her breasts with breast implants. She sought consultation with Michael Diaz, MD, a Melbourne, FL Mommy Makeover specialist.

During her consultation, Dr. Diaz listened to her and took a detailed history. The existing scars posed some challenges for rejuvenating her abdomen. She also was found to have some unevenness of her breasts. Dr. Diaz created a Mommy Makeover plan to meet her goals while taking into account her previous surgeries. At the patient’s request her breast augmentation would be performed with saline implants. A tummy tuck would also but customized to meet her goals while taking into account her previous scars.

Her surgery was performed smoothly. 325 cc smooth round Moderate Plus Profile saline implants were placed in the Dual Plane submuscular pocket. The left was filled  with 370cc and the right with 390cc to balance her volume. Her abdominal wall was tightened in 2 layers with a “corset” plication that helped narrow her waist. During her surgery two hernias were encountered which were paired simultaneously. By tightening the abdominal wall and tightening the skin, the contours were improved.

She recovered well and quickly. She was seen often in the office by Dr. Diaz and his staff. Soon she was able to return to her usual activities. These photographs are at 6 weeks post operatively. She was seen recently and at 3 years after her surgery she has still maintained her curves and is thrilled with her result.
