What to Expect
The breast lift procedure is generally performed on an outpatient basis. The surgery usually takes 1.5 to 3.5 hours and is performed under general anesthesia.
The surgical techniques and incisions vary. The technique may involve an incision around the areola, an additional incision vertically on the center of the breast, or an anchor-shaped incision following the natural contour of the breast. Your Recovery
After your breast lift surgery you will be given a surgical bra to wear. You can expect to have some bruising and swelling for a couple of days. You should expect to recover at home for about 3 to 4 days and be able to resume most activities and work by a week (depending on the type of work you do). You should be able to resume your full range of activities in about a month.
